Kybella is an FDA-approved injectable treatment for reducing moderate fat beneath the chin (submental fat).
The active ingredient in Kybella is deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule in the gallbladder that aids in the breakdown and absorption of fat.
Kybella can be injected in jowl fat and bra fat, and has been shown to aid in minimal skin tightening.
Jowls require 2 vials total with 1-2 treatments spaced 6 weeks apart. Bra fat and submental fat requirments can vary depending on volume present- up to 4 vials requiring 3-4 treatments spaced 6 weeks apart.
